Excellent Turkish cuisine & their own patisserie next door too. Went for a very tasty breakfast platter, filled with a variety of tasty delicacies, with vegetarian options for my partner. Staff are extremely pleasant, attentive and helpful. Refreshing Turkish tea and coffee too. Some delicious treats available too and cakes made to order.

A brilliant Turkish restaurant in the heart of the high street. Again, like with other restaurants you need to book in advance. A very spacious restaurant. You walk past the kitchen and you can see your food being prepared! Amazing. Very upmarket and I’d recommend dressing accordingly. Fresh, quality ingredients used throughout and all served piping hot. The wait staff and other staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices similar to London but this is quality therefore worth it. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Our pick of the Cockermouth restaurants. Came for dinner and returned for the excellent breakfasts. For dinner we had the mixed grill and it was all cooked very well with nice chilli sauce. The bread is freshly baked and delicious. The desserts on display when you walk in are also very tempting. We tried most of them and I loved the cinnamon and apple tart. The decor is tidy here, very clean and new. The service is friendly from the owner and staff. They clearly have a hard working kitchen too. The breakfasts should be tried too. The cold platter is more of a continental breakfast option. We also had the hot breakfasts which at 14 are amazing value and more akin to a Turkish brunch. Great place this and it won’t let you down.

Excellent Turkish restaurant in the heart of the delightful Cumbrian town of Cockermouth. This was our first visit, we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, we enjoyed chicken kebabs and two desserts. The chicken was tender, nicely cooked and the flavours unique. The desserts were beautiful, very much melt in your mouth stuff. The staff were very friendly and service was quick on the day we visited with a couple of other tables occupied. In all very nice food. Free parking on street. Lovely location. Not the cheapest, but very much worth the money.

Aspava – The Best Restaurant in Cockermouth! Aspava is hands down the best restaurant in Cockermouth! We’ve dined here many times, and every visit is exceptional. The combination of outstanding food, warm hospitality, and a fantastic atmosphere makes it a true local favourite. The menu offers an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine, with every dish prepared to perfection. The mixed grills, meze platters, and fresh, flavourful kebabs are all outstanding, but no matter what you order, you can expect high-quality ingredients and expertly balanced flavours. The portion sizes are generous, and the presentation is always excellent. Service at Aspava is second to none—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience, adding to the warm and inviting feel of the restaurant. If you're looking for amazing food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere, Aspava is the place to be. The Deli they run next door is just as good. A true gem in Cockermouth, and without a doubt, our go-to restaurant. Highly recommended!

A very quiet breakfast which was delicious. We had the hot breakfast for 2 with Turkish coffee. Really tasty and delicious with fantastic staff. The patisserie next door is also well worth a visit.

Amazing food .... the best lamb chops! They beat the best ones we always rate them by in Turkiye, & they're amazing!... our dessert was a taste of Feithye to us, in Cockermouth x

We had dinner and a traditional hot and cold Turkish breakfast during our visit to the Lake District. Great food and service. The friendly staff catered to our dietary requirements. We had to stop at the wonderful patisserie next door for a feast to our eyes and taste buds! We will be back!
